Golf is in “full swing” now in most of the US. The snow is finally gone from most of the northern areas. In some places it has been a long, cool and wet springtime. Nearly all golf leagues are in season now and many golfers find themselves a little rusty from the long playing absence.
I have placed some new instruction videos on Vimeo (and YouTube) that may help you brush up:
https://vimeo.com/golfinstructioncourses
These free instruction videos add to the detailed golf instruction courses that are available through Vimeo on demand.
see
https://vimeo.com/ondemand/golfinstructioncourses
A graphic student instruction manual is provided to you with each of the ondemand video instruction courses.
For
Junior Golfers there are now two Junior level drive, chip and putt instruction videos. One is on Youtube and it demonstrates how to be better prepared for any drive, chip and putt event that a junior golfer might participate. (It is also good information for us older golfers!)
https://youtube.com/watch?v=9htS6EidYpo
The second drive chip and putt instruction for junior golfers is a 49-minute instruction video that will help them become better at each skill, putting first, then chip shots, then driving the golf ball.
It is available for only $29 at the Vimeo ondemand website.
Putting
There is an article in the June
Golf Digest magazine by Paula Creamer (with Keely Levins) about making important putts. It was right on the money. I stress the same technique to my students. Address all putts just like you do in practice. Use your same pre-putt routine, timing and tempo. She emphasizes a straight back and straight through putting stroke (not for everyone but works very well for most golfers (including me)).
Check out the new videos and my updated website.
Until next time. Play smart; hit ’em straight!
